Seeking advice from parents who has enrolled toddlers on the playgroup program. Appreciated greatly on advice on past experience.
Hi Kathy,
My 22-mth daughter just started the PG with Agape Student Care Centre this month.
I find the classroom a little cramped as there are actually 2 groups - Playgroup and Pre-Nursery running concurrently with 3 teachers around (they are supposed to be separated). But, I still find its ok since my gal can also mix with older friends
However, I should say the teachers there are quite good and patient.
I accompanied my daughter into class on the 1st day and left her alone with the teachers from the 2nd day. Being in an alien environment, my daughter cried for a while in class and the chinese teacher Ms Wang attended to her. My in-laws started to bring her to school the 2nd week and she is now adapting well there. Can tell that my daughter is enjoying her class so far.
Now, my in-laws brings her to school and they feedback to me that my gal do not have any more problems going into class, independently.
The Centre's principal, Mrs Mohan, is also a nice and friendly lady. I ocassionally calls her now to check out how my daughter is doing & she promptly keeps me updated.
As for academic learning, I have to monitor a while more before I can comment.
So much for now......
