Hi,
Would appreciate some feedback on Bethany Kindergarten located at Upper Paya Lebar Road.
Both my children attend this school and so far, they have changed more than 3 principals. When the latest principal took over this year, there was a massive exodus. So it has been a really rough ride for us parents and the children. Not to mention, this principal does not allow the teachers to sms or have any direct contact with the parents. Everything has to be through email and the office phone. WHen I suggested communication through little short notes that accompany the worksheets that are returned, her reply was that there's already 3 scheduled meetings each yr (doesn't matter if they have just changed the teacher at that time of meeting and that the teacher does not know enough abt your child to comment). Very little personal touch if you ask me.

Hmm, I had no idea that there had been a change of principal. I had gone down to the sch and was quite impressed by the programme structure. Also I like the fact that the younger ones have their lessons outdoors. I am also keen in this kindy because of its single session, in the sense that it is a small kindy.
Actually, I was informed that they have an open door policy. Teachers do keep in contact with parents when necessary. I also notice that they update their website weekly with regards to what the pupils have learnt and done.
The only unusual thing I noticed about the visit was that there were 2 v young teachers say abt 20 yrs old(seemed to be, I may be wrong).
Could you be able to enlighten me abt the curriculum structure? Are the kids well prepared to enter P1?
Finally, could you pls elaborate on why there has been so many changes of P and the exodus. Was it all in this year itself?
