Justice, have you enrolled your child to CM pasir ris. I am also looking for a ccc in pasir ris.
My son started with CM Pasir Ris when he was 4 and he is now in K2. He is perfectly happy there and so are we. The websites the school set up for parents are spectacular. The school had lion dance organized for the children during Chinese New Year this year and I am not sure how many schools do that for their students. The teachers and us are in constant communication regarding our son's progress and they are responsive to our inquiries, if any. So far, I have not encountered any bad experiences. I thought I should share some positives aspects of the school and let parents know that CM Pasir Ris is not a bad school.
Dear Curios Di, not sure if you have already enrolled your child/children into CM Pasir Ris, half day fee is approximately S$550 per child and full day is approximately S$800 with subsidy.
Hi,
My both kids attend CM Pasir Ris and we are happy with the system. Last year there was some problem with the supervisor but the Management was very nice to settle the issue and their priority was to make the kids and the parents happy.
I noticed that my kids are happy going to school and I can see a VERY BIG character building. I highly recommend CM.
i have 2 kids attending character montessori pasir ris, and am happy to say they are once again enjoying the learning experience there. some of you parents may have been aware of the incident one year ago, where a new centre manager who was posted to CMPR introduced many changes and practices to the detriment of students' welfare and overall staff morale. i'm glad to say that, following discussions between unhappy parents and CM, positive action was taken to remedy the situation (the centre manager has since left). My kids are happy at CMPR, which provides a supportive and encouraging environment for learning, in a spacious and airy location. They teachers are dedicated team who enjoy working with the kids. I like CMPR's emphasis on developing good character traits, such as honesty, patience and responsibility. CMPR is having Family & Friends Day this saturday (15 May) from 10am-2pm. Interested parents might want to check this out, and speak to the lady in charge, Mrs Grace Ng.
heard that she's a cunning lady who always lies
Hi Susan,
This is Grace. I'm quite sure that you don't know me at all because people who know me will know that lying is one of those things I'm really bad at. To begin with, I'm not gifted with a poker face, neither have I acquired sufficient skills in lying because it was not something encouraged in my upbringing. So even children can tell if I try to bluff them. In fact because of this I have problems discerning when people lie to me and the criticism is always that I'm too trusting. Finally, if you have any issues with me, it will be good for you to meet me and sort things out. This is not a nice way to behave at all.
are you sure this school is good????
I don't even want to view the centre. Heard from my friends that they have artificial montessori program. unbelievable!!!
Care to comment on the word "artifical". First time hearing this term used.
The right word should be "integrated". Montessori approach is about 100 years old. There is a lot of beauty in it and at Character Montessori, we cover the full Montessori curriculum. However, we live in the 21st Century, when our children enter the local primary school system, they need to have other skills that are not in the Montessori curriculum. Thus we introduce other approaches in learning like the Project Work Approach, where children work together as a team to find new information, analyze it, present their analysis and engage in a creative process to create new products. We also introduce character themes (kindness, responsibility, etc) to our children using the modern Theory of Multiple Intelligences (Howard Gardner, Harvard University 1983) as the basis for developing the curriculum. Our children will graduate with the benefits of Montessori training and a lot more...
I would like to take this opportunity to commend all the teachers and staff of Character Montessori, Pasir Ris, for their dedication to their profession in nurturing the young minds of our children. My daughter has developed well in their care, learning to be independent as well as acquiring knowledge in a fun yet effective manner. The teachers have proven to be caring and thoughtful, both to the needs of the children as well as to the parents. I have never failed to feel welcomed when I send/fetch my daughter every day. Being a part of my daughter's education, especially at such a tender age, makes me feel much at ease. May the staff of Character Montessori, Pasir Ris, be motivated to continue the good job they have started.
