Hi, I am looking for a childcare centre for my son, 22 mths. Thinking of Kidsville. Comments will be much appreciated.
Both of my children (5 yr. and 30 months) are attending at Kidsville. They seem to like there and have adopted well. Teachers are very caring and responsible. Facility is neat and clean. They love their lunch in school! However I don't see them to let the K kids to play in the playground often enough. Lack of bigger playground facilities nearby is something I wish they could change.
By the way, I am talking about the one at 200 block. They have another one at 217 block. Run by the same organization.
I have send my son there for 5 month at Kidsville 217, some teachers there is blur and very careless. Milk bottle is not wash clean and they will stuff the botlle back into the bag with water dripping into the bag. They can even return us the wrong mattress cover which belong to another student and end of the day the other student parent has to come to our home to swap back her own one. There was an incident that they make us buy a new blanket which we did put inside the bag but because of the teacher carelessness, she took a new blanket and when we are there to pick our son home she tell us we did not put the mattress cover but we show her it was inside the bag and because she did not check properly she want us to buy another new mattress. To prevent troubles, we brought the matress reluntely. When we look for the supervisor, she can tell us only we are the family that complaint of the bottles which is not clean properly. But when we ask around 1 parent who is there to pick their children whether they have any problems with the school and to my surprise she can tell me that she also complant to the school supervisor that the school return her milk bottles that does not belong to her daughter. What worry her was wether did they feed her the wrong milk formula that don't belong to her daughter. My son is also cover with a lot of mosquitoes bites and the teacher there recommend us to look for the town council as they have feedback a lot of time to them. She said maybe we as parent when we complaint maybe the town council people will listen. This is an excuse. Lastly my advice to all parent please think carefully before you send your children to this school, look around and maybe ask for feedback as now i am withdrawing my son out from the school and the way the teacher react was like they are very unhappy. My son started crying after we submit our withdrawal and he can tell us that the teacher don't care about him anymore. Every morning he will just cry and cry telling us he dont want to go to the school anymore. This create us into a dilemma as for us we want our son to study at school that give him caring and a place that he is happy but now both of us has to take turn to apply leave to look after him till we have change him to a new school which start on next month.
The school teacher turnover very fast. My son now is k2 going to be primary one next year, until now he can't even recognise words. And the class now is 20 to one English teacher. I don't know how the teacher handle with so many kids?
Hi All,
My sincere advice to parents who are thinking of enroling your children in BLK 217 Kidsville is that, please please dont even consider this child care. Its the worst child care I have ever encountered. The teachers there are simply too rude and irresponsible. I could visibly see that my son after being enroled in this child care, started spending a huge amount of time watching TV, because that is what precisely the teachers make them to do during most part of the day. I also found that, one fine day when I returned back from office to pick my son from this centre, the teacher in-charge was lying down on the floor and all the children were sitting around and watching TV.
Also I found that, compared to the previous childcare that my son was going earlier, he rather fell sick too often after joining here. This is because, the centre is not kept that clean.
Early in the mornings when we go to leave our child, the teachers will not even bother to wish the children, despite my son wishing them. After seeing all this, we have now put our son in Praiseland childcare centre where he is thoroughly enjoying his time and getting to learn a lot of good habits from his teachers there.
Hi.. I am quite surprise to read all the comments here. My child has been in kidsville 217 since he was in PG. He loves the school so much and he kept saying that the teachers in his school are nice. Each time he gets back home, he will be able to tell me what he had learnt in school that particular day. I am impressed with the improvements in my child.
Apart from that, whenever I sent him to school, he will be greeted by his teachers
and he will happily wave goodbye to me.
As for the food, I have personally came down to view and I was impressed with the quality and the quantity of the food given to the kids.
Overall, I am happy with how the centre has been managing my son. I hope that the staff will continue to spread their warmth and love throughout the centre..
