Hi there
Any comments about this childcare centre pls? would love to hear your comments as I am thinking whether to put my child there. Many thanks!
My niece is in Kids Meadows Childcare in Yishun and she is very happy about school.SHe told me her K1 teacher is a very nice teacher and even pats her to sleep sometimes and do many wonderful things with her.I saw her school file and saw and the things that she had done.It is very impressive.I think I will put my child in there only if the same teacher teaching K1 at her school will be teaching.I actually observe her teaching and I think she is caring and very patient.Very hard to find a teacher like that.
I used to have my son in there.
His form teacher would usually call me up / sms to check if my son is ok if he had not been attending school for few days. Though she's new, is very caring and she shows herself having good qualities as a teacher eg. starting my son to toilet train, good interaction with the children, feeding my son (though he's already going to be 4)
But unfortunately, due to some family issues, I had no choice but to withdraw him. Quite upset cos he was about to adapt to the school environment (he joined the centre earlier this year).
Overall, I would say that I am quite happy with the centre, as a whole. But some improvements would be preferred on the customer service side.
Quite lacking in efficiency. Sometimes the principal or the supervisor are not around for parents to check on certain matters. And I feel bad to disturb the teachers cos they are bz in the class.
Hope the above helps.
Can somebody recommend me a childcare in yishun that will accept my 3 year old for only 1 month? Thanks
Is this the one under MERCU or MindChamp program? I went there to take a look before but it seems like it's mostly Malay teachers and students. Nothing biased but as a Chinese, we feel a bit uncomfortable in an almost Malay environment. The place looked run down too.
Chkgout,
why r u uncomfortable?? Arn't they qualified??
Hi JustMe,
No. I meant my child may feel left out since the school environment consists of 90% Malays including the teachers too except for one Chinese teacher. The place also looked old and run down. Not biased against Malays. Jus feel out of place.
i have a daughter there and she has been there since 2008...unfortunately...the teachers there are getting worse...they practise favouritism and they do not seem to practice ECE disciplinary methods. The teachers are always on mc and it seems that this year they are always taking turns for maternity leave. Most times, the centre attendant will fill in as the teacher if they do not have adequate staff...principal doesnt seem to be friendly either..will be withdrawing her from there soon....
