yes. Email boss good. But then again. Its like in singapore, we talked abt good customer service for years yet do you get it at kfc, bk... Maybe only macdonalds. How many restarants give good service? How many retail shops give good service? What i am trying to say is that it is generally hard to find good service mindsets in singapore.

Parents, if you want to find a perfect ccc, there will be none. You need to decide what you want to see in a ccc in terms of priority. I would think if they have caring responsible teachers, plus practise hygiene plus ensure safety would be most important.

If want good cs and admin. A bonus. Realised that a principal running the school may not be multi talented like most of us are only working in one aspect of our company i.e. Accounts, marketing, cs, operations etc. Yet we expect teachers or principal (who is usually a senior teacher previously?) to be a good in operations, admin, marketing and cs. I think its a tough call.

So for me, just expect them to at least be caring and responsible to teach my children!

yes, most of the parents wouldn't place cs or admin as the 1st priority , but on the other hand, there's simply no excuse for educators not to do better/improve in these areas. in fact, juz imagine we parents get irritated every now and then for simple things that they cannot even do properly/errors which can be avoided. there muz be ways to improve the system i am sure, its whether they wan to make an effort or not. its a matter of learning to multi-task. teachers do admin these days.

Agree. So parents. Do give your feedback and even suggestions. Help the ccc improve. :)

jus email to angela wong : littletreehse@yahoo.com.sg.

whether the boss wants to look into it is one thing, but for sure, if there is something not proper or organised with the admin/customer service, 1st one held responsible is principal.if principal's not the boss, chances is even if u feedback, he will not be bothered. worse is the boss is kept in the dark.

but if principal is the boss, things might be different coz they run a biz , one reason is also coz of passion, and not juz abt making $, at least this is wat i read from the website y she set up the centre, so i give her the benefit of doubt.

i muz stress that not all feeback and complains are bad. the centre juz have to take feedback/complains humbly and make things right. if not, at the end of the day, they lose their customers due to bad word of mouth. in the biz world today, its not jus abt teaching. its teaching and admin/customer services.

if there's a feedback form to grade the sch, bound to have improvement. we spend so much and its right that the overall std be there.

i seriously hope the sch can hear this. if not someone juz let the sch knows.

my child has been attending at the sembawang branch before it was took over by lth. my child stayed on coz he was already familar with the sch environment. anyway, soon he will get out. :) .

my observations are, teachings wise, i have nothing to complain. but admin or customer services wise, i cannot give it a "pass". the teachers seem very busy that when it comes to admin, there will be hicups. i am kinda immunsed to it since i know its not the teachers faults. if they are shorthanded, the principal should hire more staff. or if there is a procedure not in place properly, its also the principal who shd take the full responsiblity, like in any other industry.

the principal also over overprotects her staff when they make mistakes. no wonder the culture is such that teachers can loosen up when looking after the kids because they know that even if they make mistakes, their principal will protect them from parents. if the sch is the one at fault, dun expec the sch to admit it. they will push away as much responsibility as possible. not only the principal is insincere, she will not apologize. i call this coward! bad image for the sch. this not only happen for my cases but oso what i heard from some other parents as well.

since the fees are not cheap, it is more right that they give us a better service. don't u think so?

i heard that on fri, one child fell down and his teeth got blood, haiz. the sch better dun assume we parents dun know anything. when i leave my child wif the sch, it becomes a constant worry becoz i scare there will be accidents. of coz you can say that whenput kids playing together, such is bound to happen, but don't forget that teachers' responsibilities in ccc also include the kids being properly looked after in sch. most accidents can be avioded. else how do we ever trust the sch with our kids?

the mgt should think from the point of view of our parents as well, if they want a good repu for their sch.

i never recommended my neighbours to this sch, because i told them about the unhappiness i encountered with the sch.

I have been reading this for awhile, coz I have been looking for a ccc near the area. I have 2nd thoughts now.

Both safety and teachings are very important in a childcare centre! I think the principal is scared if she needs to apologize to everyone, then the sch must compensate. If not, she doesn't want to admit its their mistakes because it does not look good on them. But if they keep having mistakes, then they must do something about it and not let mistakes repeat and repeat. Then something is wrong with their procedures. :(

I feel that in any organisation, having a feedback form works very well. The service will be able to improve overtime.

Any other parent from sembawang brach also encounter similar problem? Please share so that we can make a right decision in where we want to place our child.

that is really unprofessional of the centre!

  • joelle chan says:

I ever went down to the sembawang branch to enquire because I was nearby. the principal, fai just left me under the hot sun to talk about the enquiries. she said she could not allow me in because the kids were sleeping. hmn, but my friend who's child is wif that sch told me they sleep upstairs, not downstairs.

Its fair that I cannot go inside the house to visit the sch because the children were sleeping. But not to invite me to the pouch to talk is not very courteous. Maybe by talking under the sun, she knew I would not ask so much questions, tsktsk.

Fai is only a principal, not the boss. so what kind of customer service can we expect from her? of coz I didn't go to this sch even though my fren recommended lah. I agree with one of the posts that how a principal carries himself is important because the rest of the teachers follow suit.

I have since enrolled my child in another centre, i am a happy and satisfied parent, same for my child.
