I have the same concern as Mocha on not sufficient homework and the convention spelling test. After l learnt more on LSK, l am happy that my kids are attending this school and convinced that l made the right choice. Creative teaching is not easy and I am not able to do so myself. My kids never stop surprising me with the things they learnt from school. It's a joy to see my kids looking forward to school everyday. The principle Mrs Elsie Tan and teachers are all fabulous people. My 2 girls are in Nursery and K2 this year.

My daughter was in LSK during Nursery/K1/K2 from 2007-2009. I was also concerned if the school taught enough during the curriculum time as my daughter don't bring back much worksheets. There is also no spelling in LSK. Homework is very limited. I am especially concerned when I saw some blog mentioned that LSK did not teach much.

I am only very convinced that LSK did a great job when my daughter entered into Primary 1. Her form teacher in Rosyth School told me during teachers/parent session that my daughter is very creative and expressive. She exudes confidence in giving her opinion in class presentation and think out of the box during the school activities. She is street smart.

I thought LSK did a good job because creativity is a skill that is hard to teach. I think LSK managed to foster that in children from a young age. I am convinced that their pre-school years are important and not many kindergartens knows how to nurture creativity and innovation. Frankly speaking, this is something that the government realise that is missing in the Spore educational system. That's why we get so few entrepreneurs in Singapore. Enterpreneurship requires creativity and innovativeness. Doing worksheets and assessment books does not promote that. Great job LSK. I see my children's future bright and prospective ahead of them.

I'm very proud that my daughter is studying in Living Sanctuary Kindergarten,the top kindergarten in Singapore. In 2010, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has awarded Living Sanctuary Kindergarten 2 Distinction Awards - Distinction for Kindergarten Innovation Award and Distinction for Best Practice Award for Learning Centres recently. Congratulations to LSK! This shows how much effort the principal, Mrs Elsie Tan-Chua and the rest of the teachers have put in to groom the children at Living Sanctuary Kindergarten. Keep up the good work!

My daughter born in 2007, enjoys going to 2010 Pre-Nursery class Graceland 2 (p.m. session) conducted by Teacher Mrs Chiam and "Zhang Lao Shi". The rest of the assistant teachers are fantastic too. My husband and I had made the right choice to send our gal to LSK. I'm in the early childhood industry and I would agree that LSK is definitely an excellent school. My daughter simply adores going to school to learn and play due to the conducive environment supported by the loving teachers and principal. I've to give my 2 thumbs up for LSK.

After viewing some pre-schools in the Hougang Ave 1/Lorong Ah Soo vicinity, my husband and I decided to enrol our only child in Living Sanctuary Kindergarten for Pre-Nursery (2010). The school is very spacious - with its own assembly hall, classrooms, dance studio, computer room, canteen, kids' toilets etc. Both my husband and I feel that it resembles a mini-primary school. I spoke to some parents who were waiting to fetch their children home after school and even the cleaner of the school,who believe that the teachers really take good care of the kids there. Personally, I feel that nothing is more important than caring teachers who shower their love to our children ,will be able to nurture our children to their fullest potential. Even though we are not Christians, we feel that it is absolutely fine with us to let our child study in LSK. I even heard that Pre-Nursery program for Yr 2009 has DEMAND exceeding SUPPLY and some children were still on waiting list. I would highly recommend this school to parents who would like to place their child in LSK in future. You definitely have to go down to the school to see it with your own eyes and hear it with your own ears to believe. I believe Living Sanctuary Kindergarten can groom my child in a loving and caring environment, thus, preparing her ahead for primary school education.

is it really that good? I stay around there. 2 of mothers I know put their child there. Told me they don't really learn anything. Mostly church teaching.

Sorry I did not mean to say anything bad but these are the comments I heard. Initally thought of putting my son there but I changed my mind.

anyone has comments on learning vision at temasek laboratory, one research link, nus?. they only accept kids from 2 months to 36 months.

I totally agree with Geraldine. LSK is truly wonderful due to the efforts of the entire staff.

My son attended the kindergarten from year 2004 to 2006. The class size is smaill and the teachers care for the children like they do their own. There's lotsa hugs from the teachers and if your child is clingy, no worries. The teachers have more than enough experience with such incidents.

My son is a typical late bloomer. He can't form coherent sentences when he first joined and with the help and care from his teachers, his communication skills improved.

Each year's sports day and graduation ceremony was splendid. All children performs and my son developed his love for performance there (he was very shy for his first performance but eventually, he performed like a pro for his graduation concert).

I give LSK 5 stars out of 5.
