Thank you Teachers and all staff at Mindchamps preschool@ East Coast! It's really hardwork as partners to us parents in grooming these little champs. Watching their K2 graduation and remembering what they were like when they first came in, I am most impressed at how much they have grown into champs! The journey as an early childhood educator is tough with all the responsibilities and expectations plus the occasional demanding parents (am guilty of it too). But today, while looking back at the journey in the school, I must applaud you all! A big thank you for the passion in you!

LOL! many may have vested interest but not all.

I don't have any vested interest. Googled Mindchamps Preschool and this pops up so I came by and took a look. Do some research and then I will go see a few places.

Interesting comments all ard!

Other forums also get some comments and esp even on the other programes MC has. I suppose every program has its plus and minus. So best for all to explore.

I googled because my neighbour staying in the Tanglin area told me to check MCP out.

Too free? Who will give free advice here, those who praise have vested interest, those who complain also have vested interest. Go see for yourself is the best.

But in 3 years, mindchamps preschool has got 10 centres now. There must be a good reason behind the growth. Heard them share abt their new reading pogram implementing in preschools next year. Sounded very good!

Opps. Someone may say i hv vested interest... chill man.

there are simply too many people here with vested interest. MC branches r also owned by individual bus owners.

Mindchamps is better than eton. Even if they raise fees by $500, I will still send my 2 daughters to the school.

This thread is really meaningless. What I see is a group of people speculating about how much the fee increment would be and no one truly knowing any real facts here. There's really no point expressing any anger or grievances when there's no real information on hand, is there? Everything is hearsay. All these harsh exchanges, words and feelings could be spared. Everything will come to light after the talk. Until then, nothing is confirmed. But one thing is for sure - indeed prices of everything has gone up higher than wages. I wouldn't say salaries have not increased, just at a slower rate. If anyone should do the right thing, it's the government. Does the government ask us before increasing HDB prices? Does the government ask for your permission before increasing GST? NO, they don't. So why should MindChamps, a private business be THE one to "do the right thing"? They have the right to increase their fees and if the cost of childcare is getting too expensive, it's the government responsibility to look at increasing subsidies. We seem to be barking up the wrong tree. At my previous school where my boy was, they had a fee increase in early 2010. There was no talk given by the school of any kind nor any letter issued. All they did was informed my caregiver at term end that the fee starting next term would be $Xxx. So for MC CEO to organize a talk for parents even if it's bad news of fee increment is a very professional gesture to me. Just my 2 cents worth. Not looking for a verbal fight of any kind. Cheers

I too send my child to mcp n m concerned about the increase. But I heard other premium centers r also increasing the fees... sigh. Actually, mcp is cheaper than other premium plc like chiltern, lorna wiston n eton. So unless the fees bcome higher than the rest, i will keep my precious in mcp.

my kid is also in MC now. honestly speaking, $300 might seem a little too much but looking at the curriculum they offer and that my son has been improving tremendously, i guess this is justifiable then. perhaps this is personal and subjective because what is more important to me is what the school could offer compared to the other schools..and whether i see a transformation in my son, which in my case i have seen changes in him in terms of his personal growth as well as academic wise.
