hi selsa,
Thank you for your sharing. Indeed, its really not abt which method but if a trained teacher has a heart for the little ones.
As parents, that makes all the difference.
Thank you too for proving that there are genuine parents like us who wants to positively share our experience in this forums.

am thinking of sending my son to MMI Tampines.. Anyone have any good/bad experience to share?
think it really depends on which centre u r in since each is run by different owners
My son turning 18 months in May and I was wondering if anyone could recommend preschool around Tanjong Katong area.
There seem to be so many and it's hard to choose based on price alone.
Anyone have any good or bad experiences to share specific to preschools around Tanjong Katong?
Suggest you choose a few to visit. Just a few. I went to a number in that area and eventually put my child in Mindchamps Preschool@Katong. Besides Glory Catering. I am not sure if there is still any space there for PG though. But speak with the centre director and make a visit. Its a building on its own annd the center director, VP and STs run the centre very well and you will be impressed with what you see there.
Suggest you visit a few centres so that you have an expectation of what a preschool does before you go there. I would suggest Shaw and also Eton nearby before you go to Mindchamps.
but everyone has their own criteria as to which preschool is best...
I went through that before and know its very hard to decide on price alone. But I have seen the lower priced ones and even put in one of the centres and at 18mths, if the ratio is very high, you do get the care that you want your kids to have. 1:5 vs 1:7/8 makes a difference at 18mths old.
happy hunting... see comments on mindchamps at the mindchamps forum. Most of them are very true as I see them for myself.
I have putting my 2 1/2 old child in MMI pinnancle. Most of the teacher is new, no experience. Children wandering out the school gate with no guidance and anyone can just grab and go. Only one entrance and exit for escape with another door lock at all times. The teacher will not ensure whether food or water intake is enough for the kid. No communication bet teacher and parent only through the communication book of what they serve and teach. If we ask the teacher question, they always refer you to the principal.
Hi jjjj
I received a mailer on MMI @ Pinnacle.... keen in putting my son there for next year.
After seeing yr input... I m now thinking twice.
It's really true that the situation is not desirable?
hai.... need source alternatives.....
Its so tough finding good teachers. Parents expectations are so high. I suggest for parents to treasure teachers. Feedback to help them improve as if they are your own children. If you think th grass is greener on the other side and switch schools. Remember that that teacher can resign too. So its better to make sure YOU as parents contribute to a conducive environment for your own children. Dun gossip as it will only create negative vibes for your own children. Parents do avoid such parents. Negativity only brings everyone lower.
